Kletterwald.

In early July 2010 there will open a brand new attraction at the Mineral Park 1 Km south from Evje.  This will be the very first climbing forest or high wire adventure park in the southern region of Norway.  There will be 2 parks aimed at different age groups.  The kids (Discovery) park will have 18 different activities with one zip wire. It will take approx 1 - 1,5 hours to complete.  The height limit for this park is 110cm.  The adults (grand) park will have 34 different activities including 4 zip wires all over 200 metres long.  This park takes between 2 - 3 hours to complete. The height limit on this park is 140 cm.

The Climbing Forest is built in beautiful open woodland along the banks of the river Otra.  The river flows into a natural bay which leads to the sandy beach of the Mineral Park.  The activities for the Grand park are built on both sides of this charming bay in truly spectacular surroundings.  The zip wires which link both sides of the park together cross the bay a total of 4 times making for a spectacular adrenaline rush with each run.  Look between your legs as you fly across the river, you may see a large fish swimming underneath you.

The junior park is built between 3 and 5 metres over the ground.  The grand park is built between 4 and 8 metres above the ground.  The entire park is constructed in such a way as to protect the Pine trees and provide a fantastic environment where you can move high in the forest together with the Red Squirrels, Pine Martens and Ospreys that habitate this wonderful area.

On the Discovery park, children must be accompanied by an adult.  On the Grand park teenagers under 16 require also to be together with a adult.  We provide all the necessary equipment. This includes a harness, helmet, karabiner and pulley.  Each participant will be given a 20 minute safety course before entering the facility.  There are several escape routes on the park so it is always possible to retreat if you find the challenge tough. 

The park is ideal for large groups including birthdays, company days out and school parties.  Meals can be booked at the Mineral park to complete the day.  The Climbing forest has a total capacity of 130 with maximum 30 started each half hour.  The Junior course can carry 35 children & adults.  During the tourist season we will have start times every 30 minutes from 10 am to 4 pm.  Perfect for individuals and families wishing to experience an ariel adventure.
